Western posted a perfect score of 15 to win the four-team meet Tuesday night. TriCentral had a score of 48 and Taylor and Southwood fielded incomplete teams.
Western's Katie Hollingsworth won the race with a time of 21:17. Teammates Jenn Elliott (22:36), Ashley Gaskins (23:04), Lacey Myer (23:12) and Corianne Myer (23:27) finished third through sixth and Kayla Gaskins (23:40) and Bre Nicholas (24:04) took eighth and ninth.
"The whole pack ran really well together," Western coach Heather Yentes said. "They worked with each other to have a good finish."
Haley Hewitt (23:38) led Tri-Central with a seventh-place finish. Rachel Hewitt (26:04), Hollie Puckett (27:21) and Cheyanna Upton (28:19) finished 11th through 13th and Ashley Miller (32:07) was 16th.
Leslie Maple (25:231 had a 10th place finish for Taylor while Britney Parsley (31:17) placed 15th, Abby Wagoner (35:27) was 17th and Jessica Rogers (35:31) came in 18th.
Western cruised to victory in Tuesday's invitational with 16 points. Tri-Central (64), Southwood (71) and White's (88) rounded out the field.
The Panthers took the top four individual spots, led by Zac Martinez in a time of 18:30. Corey Scott (18:45), Austin Young (19:00) and Chris Love (19:01) followed. Also for Western, Michael Ladd (19:03) and Kody Harmon (19:04) took sixth and seventh.
"We tried to run as a team and we did very well with seven of the top nine spots," Western coach Joe Orr said. "It was awfully hot and it was hard to get best times."
Tri-Central was led by Justin Huddleston's fifth-place finish (19:02). Also for the Trojans, John Van Dorn (20:58) was 10th, Derek Glass (21:33) was 14th, Jacob Baird (22:15) was 17th and Kyle Garhart (23:09) placed 18th.
