Tri-Central Invitational - Girls

Western finished with a score of 25 points to win the title, and the Panthers were followed by Taylor (40), Southwood (82), and Tri-Central (91).

The Panthers' Annina Gruber toured the course in 16 minutes, 6 seconds to top the individual standings. Fellow Western runners Lacey Myer (17:28) and Cassie Myer (17:38) finished fourth and fifth.

"We are working on pacing, and the kids responded well to that," Western coach Dana Neer said.

Taylor's Danielle Glick (16:34) and Tri-Central's Addie Rayl (16:55) finished 2-3, in between Western runners.

"Despite the wet conditions, the athletes ran hard and competed well at the Tri-Central Invite," TC coach Robyn Pagington said.

Tri-Central Invitational - Boys

Western took four of the top five individual places to win the invitational with a score of 22. White's was second at 55 and was followed by Tri-Central (58) and Southwood (102).

The Panthers' Luke Minor was the overall winner at 18:29. Fellow Panther runners Trevor Mann (19:00), Shawn Parkins (19:06) and Jared Hall (19:36) finished 3-4-5.

"Our runners and team championship is what we are looking for most," Neer said.

Tri-Central's Jake Ritchie (18:48) broke up the Panther pack and finished in second place.

"We are pleased to see all of the Tri-Central boys run their season-best times," Pagington said.
