Western ran in the Nike XC Town Twilight Meet in Terre Haute, competing in a division with 48 teams and 461 runners.

Camden Raab led Western, taking 42nd in 15:42.6. Miles Rudy was 96th (16:06.4), Beck Bennett 195th (16:42.3), Maddox Carver 300th (17:11.0), and Avery Franklin 330th (17:20.5). Columbus North won the division with a score of 115. Western was 31st with 819.

"The race started out ridiculously fast," Western coach Gary Jewell said. "The leaders were flying. Camden came through the mile in 4:46 and trailed by only about five seconds but was in 34th place.

"Avery had a fantastic race. He improved his personal best by nearly 25 seconds and achieved it on a course that doesn’t necessarily produce fast times. Even better, it helped get our 1-5 split solidly in the 1:30s. We’ve been saying all season that most of our time improvement would be from our Nos. 4 and 5 runners, not our top two."
